Happy Tuesday! 👋 Dr. Kelly here. Improve Your Golf Game from the Ground Up ⛳
I would have thought that the weather is not quite yet golf season, but several of you have been inside taking some swings.
One thing is certain—your body plays a huge role in your performance.
Golf may look like a low-impact sport, but it actually requires flexibility, balance, coordination, and proper alignment.
Without these, you may notice decreased performance… or even pain after a round or only a few swings!! 😭
We have had a few patients who have already come into the office from a golf injury.
The swing can take a toll on your body. From back pain to hip pain to upper body injuries.
Let’s go over a few tips to get you ready
1 – Start with Your Foundation: Your Feet
Your swing begins from the ground up.
If your feet are not properly supported, it can affect your knees, hips, spine, and ultimately your swing.
It is Arch Madness time. Custom orthotics, like Foot Levelers, help create a stable foundation, improving balance and reducing stress on your body throughout your game.
Ask Gayle to take the scales out and see if when you stand on them if you are balanced.
2 – Stay Aligned for a Better Swing
Adjustments help ensure your spine and joints are moving properly.
When your body is aligned, you’ll often notice improved rotation, better posture, and a smoother, more powerful swing.
Tree of Life Wellness Center’s golfers report less stiffness and fewer injuries. 😁
3 – Stretching is a Game Changer
Tight muscles can limit your range of motion and increase your risk of strain.
Simple daily stretches for your hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and back can make a big difference. Even just 5-10 minutes before and after your round can help keep you loose and playing your best.

Ask me to show you the nerve sweep for your hamstrings. It is an easy and quick technique you can do right on the golf course!! ⛳
4 – Support Recovery with Red Light Therapy
After a long day on the course, recovery is key!!! 🎆🎆🎆
Red light therapy can help reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and support muscle recovery—so you’re ready for your next round sooner. 🙃
