Good morning! 👋 Dr. Kelly from Tree of Life Wellness Center here. Who likes to have a massage? 🙋♀️
Massage therapy is one of the oldest healing practices in the world.
It is recognized not only for its relaxing effects, but also for its numerous health benefits.
Regular massage helps with stress reduction, pain relief, improved blood circulation, reduce muscle soreness, improve flexibility, and speed up recovery after intense workouts. Decrease cortisol levels. Leading to a calmer mind and improved mood.
Feeling more balanced and relaxed. ☺
On a mental level, massage can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. It encourages the release of serotonin and dopamine—neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of happiness and well-being.
From easing stress to relieving chronic pain, massage offers a wide range of physical and mental health advantages.
But not all massage work is the same! ⚠
It’s important to understand which type fits your needs.
You don’t have to get beat up to reap the benefits of a massage.
There are several types of massage:
Swedish, deep tissue, sports, hot stone, aromatherapy, and prenatal Massage.
When getting a prenatal massage, make sure you find a therapist that is trained to ensure safety and comfort for both mother and baby. 🤰
Pregnant women, especially in the second and third trimesters, can find massage incredibly helpful.
Seniors may benefit from gentler techniques that improve circulation and reduce joint stiffness.
Our massage therapist at the office is Heliose. She is here T & W 11am -6pm.
Her technique is very relaxing. I like to describe it as a releasing technique. She is not a deep torcher technician.
I personally get a massage at least once a month with Heloise. I would love once every other week, but schedule doesn’t always allow for that.
Beginning June 1, our new rates for a 50-minute massage session will be as follows:
- $100 – Standard Rate (Non-Patients)
- $70 – Current Patients
- $57 – Massage Club Members*
*Massage Club Members commit to receiving at least one massage per month.
Interested in joining the Massage Club? Please speak with Gayle for more information on membership benefits and enrollment.
Massage gift cards are also available for purchase by patients. Rates apply based on your status.
If you can’t get in to see Heloise or want a deeper massage, I recommend Mayra at The Healing Sunflower.
Several of our patients already receive massage work from Mayra.
